Is green tea extract the same as drinking green tea?
No. Green tea is a drink made by steeping leaves, while the extract is a concentrate taken as a capsule. NCCIH says green tea as a drink is not linked to safety concerns in adults (NCCIH, Green tea).

Why do the liver reports point to extracts and not tea?
