How Much Caffeine Is in Soda Slim? 138 mg Printed, a Little More Hidden
SodaSlim has 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous in each capsule, and the label says Contains Caffeine. That is 34.5% of the 400 mg a day the FDA gives for most healthy adults. The green coffee and green tea extracts add a little more, and the green coffee amount is not printed. It is a capsule, not a drink.

The number01
How much caffeine is in Soda Slim?
Each SodaSlim capsule lists 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous. The label also says "Contains Caffeine". The product is a capsule, not a drink, so there is no can to read and no cup to measure.
That 138 mg is the largest line on the Supplement Facts panel, a little above the four 130 mg lines. It is 21.0% of the 658 mg listed in the capsule. Against the FDA's 400 mg a day for most healthy adults, it is 34.5% (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Mayo Clinic, MedlinePlus and Cleveland Clinic give the same 400 mg figure (Mayo Clinic, Caffeine: how much is too much) (MedlinePlus, Caffeine) (Cleveland Clinic, Caffeine overdose).
The label sets one capsule a day, so the label's own maximum is 138 mg from the capsule. Your coffee, tea and soda come on top.

| Source in the capsule | Printed or worked out | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Caffeine anhydrous | Printed | 138 mg |
| Green tea extract (under 3% caffeine) | Worked out from 130 mg | Under 3.9 mg |
| Green coffee bean extract | Not printed | Unknown |
| Raspberry ketone, garcinia extract | No caffeine named | Not applicable |
The extracts02
Does green coffee bean extract have caffeine?
Yes, green coffee bean extract contains some caffeine. The NIH's consumer page on weight-loss supplements says so (NIH ODS, Weight loss supplements (consumers)). The SodaSlim label does not say how much its 130 mg line holds.
Green coffee beans are coffee seeds that have not been roasted. Roasting is not what puts caffeine in a bean, so the unroasted seed has it too. An extract is standardized to something else. This one is set to 50% chlorogenic acids, about 65 mg. The leftover caffeine is whatever the extract carries, and it is not printed. We found no source that gives a figure for this extract, so we give none.
The green tea line is easier. The label says under 3% caffeine, so under 3.9 mg in 130 mg. That is why the best summary is: 138 mg, plus a little more from the extracts that is not printed.

Your own daily count is a floor, not a full total. If you are close to your limit, treat the capsule as a bit more than 138 mg.
Your day03
How much caffeine do you already have each day?
Most people already drink some caffeine. Add the capsule to your usual cups and see the total against 400 mg. The FDA lists 113 to 247 mg for a 12 fl oz brewed coffee, 23 to 83 mg for a soda and 41 to 246 mg for an energy drink (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much).
Use the counter below. Pick what you drink on a normal day and the bar adds the SodaSlim capsule on top. The ranges are wide because brands differ, so the tool shows a low and a high.
- SodaSlim, 1 capsule (label)138 mg1
- Brewed coffee (12 fl oz)113-247 mg
- Green tea (12 fl oz)37 mg
- Black tea (12 fl oz)71 mg
- Caffeinated soda (12 fl oz)23-83 mg
- Energy drink (12 fl oz)41-246 mg
138 mg from the capsule alone: 34.5% of the 400 mg a day the FDA gives for most healthy adults. Add your drinks above.
Drink figures are the FDA's per 12 fl oz (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much); actual cups vary. The green tea extract adds under 3.9 mg by its own label standardization and the green coffee line adds an amount the label does not print. The 400 mg guide is for most healthy adults; pregnancy, heart rhythm problems, anxiety and some medicines call for a clinician's advice (MedlinePlus, Caffeine).
Two strong cups of coffee can already reach 400 mg. Adding 138 mg then crosses the guide. If you take other products with caffeine, or green tea extract, count those too (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss (health professionals)).

How much caffeine is too much?
For most healthy adults, up to about 400 mg a day is not generally linked with harm (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). More than that raises the odds of jitters, a fast heartbeat, poor sleep and stomach upset. People differ a lot, so your own limit may be lower.
Some people should stay well under the guide or skip caffeine. EFSA gives 200 mg a day for pregnancy, which is a European figure, not an FDA one (EUFIC, EFSA opinion on the safety of caffeine). The FDA, Mayo Clinic and MedlinePlus say to talk to a provider if you are pregnant or nursing (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much) (Mayo Clinic, Caffeine: how much is too much) (MedlinePlus, Caffeine). The SodaSlim label itself says not for anyone under 18 or pregnant or nursing.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist first if you have a heart rhythm problem, high blood pressure, anxiety, seizures or trouble sleeping, or take a medicine. Keep taking prescribed medicine as directed.
These bars compare label amounts with reference amounts, not proven doses. No study tested this capsule.
Chest pain, fainting, a racing heart that does not settle, or a seizure needs emergency care: call 911. Poison Help is 1-800-222-1222 (Cleveland Clinic, Caffeine overdose). Seizures have been reported with rapid intake near 1,200 mg of caffeine (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much).
Before you order05
How do you keep your SodaSlim caffeine in check?
Count first, then decide. Add your cups, add 138 mg and a little more, and compare the total with 400 mg or with the lower number your doctor gives you.
Write down yesterday
List each coffee, tea, soda and energy drink. Use the FDA ranges when a label is missing.
Add the capsule
Use 138 mg and treat the green coffee extract as a small extra.
Cut elsewhere, not the capsule's cautions
If the total is high, trim a cup. Do not take more than one capsule a day.
Watch for signs
Jitters, poor sleep and a pounding heart mean too much. Cut caffeine and call your clinician if it persists.
More on timing is on the how to use page, and a full list of effects is on the side effects page. Pure caffeine powder is a different and dangerous product, and a single teaspoon can equal about 28 cups of coffee (FDA, Warning about pure and highly concentrated caffeine). SodaSlim is a capsule with a printed amount.

SodaSlim questions people ask
Is the caffeine in SodaSlim from coffee or made in a lab?
The label calls it caffeine anhydrous, a dry concentrated form, and does not say where it comes from. The green coffee and green tea extracts also carry small amounts that the label does not total.
How many cups of coffee equal one SodaSlim capsule?
About one cup of strong brewed coffee. The FDA lists 113 to 247 mg for a 12 fl oz cup (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much), so 138 mg sits in the lower to middle part of that range.
How much coffee fits alongside a SodaSlim capsule?
That depends on your total. Add your cups to 138 mg and compare it with 400 mg (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Ask a pharmacist if you take a medicine or have a heart, anxiety or sleep problem.
Does green coffee extract have as much caffeine as a cup of coffee?
We found no verified figure for this extract, and the label does not print one. The NIH says green coffee extract contains caffeine (NIH ODS, Weight loss supplements (consumers)), but how much is unknown.
Can SodaSlim caffeine cause jitters or poor sleep?
It can, as with any caffeine. Insomnia, jitters, a fast heartbeat and nausea are listed effects of too much (MedlinePlus, Caffeine) (Cleveland Clinic, Caffeine overdose). The label prints no time of day, so avoid late use.
Is 138 mg of caffeine safe for me?
For many healthy adults it fits under the 400 mg guide on its own (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Your total, medicines and health matter more. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before you start.
Does SodaSlim have a caffeine-free option?
We know of none. The only product on this label is the capsule with 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous. Anyone avoiding caffeine should skip it or ask a clinician.
