SodaSlim FAQ: 40 Plain Answers on the Label, the Caffeine and the Evidence
The SodaSlim FAQ answers what people ask about the capsules, a dietary supplement and not a drink. One capsule a day holds 138 mg of caffeine, 34.5% of the FDA's 400 mg guide, plus four 130 mg extract lines. Forty answers cover the label, the evidence, safety, daily use, packs and the guarantee.

The basics01
What are the most common Soda Slim questions?
The most common Soda Slim questions are about the form (a capsule, not a drink), the caffeine, whether it works and what it costs. The answers below start from the label and then check it against public health sources.
No study has tested SodaSlim itself, so no answer here promises a result. Where something is not printed, we say so. Type a word in the box to filter every group at once.
No question matches. Try another word.
What does SodaSlim come as?
SodaSlim comes as capsules, not a drink. A white bottle holds 30 vegetable (hypromellose) capsules, and the label says to take one a day, so a bottle covers 30 days. There is no liquid, no bubbles and no flavor. It is sold as a dietary supplement.
Is Soda Slim spelled as one word or two?
The label spells it SodaSlim, one word, and people also search for it as Soda Slim. Both mean the capsule described on this site. A product with a similar name but another form or ingredient list is a different product, so compare any bottle with the label here.
Is SodaSlim a prescription drug?
No. SodaSlim is a dietary supplement, not a drug, and the label says it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold (FDA, Questions and answers on dietary supplements). Never swap a supplement for a prescribed medicine.
Who makes SodaSlim?
The label does not name the manufacturer. It names a distributor: Gex Corporation LLP, PO Box 12730, Ogden, UT 84404, +1 (507) 448-8190, [email protected]. The label also says the capsules are manufactured in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. This website is a retailer, not the maker and not the distributor.
Where can I read the whole SodaSlim label?
Read it word for word on the supplement facts page, which marks each part of the panel. The label lists a serving size of 1 capsule, 30 servings per container and five amounts, then hypromellose as the other ingredient and the line Contains Caffeine.
Ingredients and caffeine02
What is in a SodaSlim capsule, and how much caffeine is that?
One SodaSlim capsule lists five ingredients that add up to 658 mg: 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous and four 130 mg lines. Every amount is printed on the label.
The standardizations let us work out what sits inside the extracts. The bars show the label amounts next to the reference figures that sources give.
| Line | Label amount | Share of 658 mg | Printed standard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Caffeine anhydrous | 138 mg | 21.0% | None printed |
| Green coffee bean extract | 130 mg | 19.8% | 50% chlorogenic acids |
| Raspberry ketone | 130 mg | 19.8% | None printed |
| Garcinia extract | 130 mg | 19.8% | 50% HCA |
| Green tea extract | 130 mg | 19.8% | 98% polyphenols, 75% catechins, 45% EGCG, under 3% caffeine |

What is in one SodaSlim capsule?
Five lines fill the 658 mg the label lists: caffeine anhydrous at 138 mg, then green coffee bean extract, raspberry ketone, garcinia extract and green tea extract at 130 mg each. The shell is hypromellose, a vegetable capsule. The label says Contains Caffeine and prints no allergen statement.
Does SodaSlim hide its amounts in a proprietary blend?
No. The Supplement Facts panel prints a separate amount for every line, so the weights are not hidden. Some descriptions of the product say no amounts are printed, but the label itself shows all five. What it leaves out is the maker, a test report and the caffeine that comes with the extracts.
What share of the capsule is caffeine?
Caffeine anhydrous is 138 of 658 mg, or 21.0%. Each of the other four lines is 130 of 658 mg, or 19.8%. No single ingredient dominates, and caffeine is only 8 mg heavier than the rest. Read more on the ingredients page.
Is 138 mg of caffeine a lot?
It is a moderate amount on its own: 34.5% of the 400 mg a day the FDA gives for most healthy adults (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Brewed coffee runs 113 to 247 mg per 12 fl oz, so one capsule sits inside that range. Your total depends on every cup you add and on how sensitive you are.
Is there more caffeine in SodaSlim than the 138 mg printed?
Probably a little more. Green tea extract is under 3% caffeine, which caps it near 3.9 mg a capsule. The green coffee line has no caffeine figure at all, and that extract is known to contain some (NIH ODS, Weight loss supplements (consumers)). Read it as 138 mg plus a small amount that is not printed.
How much EGCG, HCA and chlorogenic acid are in a capsule?
Working from the label's percentages, about 58.5 mg of EGCG (45% of 130 mg), about 65 mg of chlorogenic acids and about 65 mg of HCA. That is our arithmetic, not a printed amount. EFSA flags 800 mg a day of EGCG from supplements (IFST, EFSA green tea catechins safety assessment), so the capsule's share is about 7%.
Does the label list allergens, gluten or dairy?
The label prints no allergen statement. Seller badges mention gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian, but the label prints no gluten or dairy line and no badge names a certifier. With an allergy, ask a pharmacist, or ask the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 before you buy.
Evidence and claims03
What does research say about the ingredients in SodaSlim?
Research on SodaSlim's ingredients shows small average differences at best, and none of it tested this capsule. Reviews of single ingredients cannot speak for a five-ingredient mix at these doses.
The table lists what each source found, in plain terms. The sales page claims more, and we quote it only to compare.
| Ingredient | What the review found | Strength |
|---|---|---|
| Caffeine | Small rises in lab markers of fat metabolism, not in body weight (Meta-analysis, Does caffeine increase fat metabolism?) | Small |
| Green tea extract | Outside Japan, 0.04 kg difference, not significant (Cochrane, Green tea for weight loss (Jurgens)) | Small at best |
| Garcinia extract | 0.88 kg average, clinical relevance uncertain (Onakpoya 2011, Garcinia (HCA) meta-analysis) | Small |
| Green coffee bean extract | Three trials, all at high risk of bias (Onakpoya 2011, Green coffee extract meta-analysis) | Weak |
| Raspberry ketone | Reliable human research is lacking (Rao 2021, Raspberry ketone review) | Almost none |
Has any study tested SodaSlim?
No study we found tested SodaSlim or this five-ingredient mix. The FTC says research on an ingredient does not automatically support a finished product, because the dose and the formula have to match (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). Everything here about effects comes from reviews of single ingredients.
What do large reviews say about weight-loss supplements?
They find little. The NIH says "there's little scientific evidence that weight-loss supplements work" (NIH ODS, Weight loss supplements (consumers)). A 2021 review of 315 trials found most showed no weight loss, and the 16 low-risk positive trials ranged from 0.3 to 4.93 kg (UNC / Obesity 2021, Review of weight-loss supplements).
How much did garcinia or green tea change weight in reviews?
Very little. Garcinia beat placebo by an average of 0.88 kg across nine pooled trials (Onakpoya 2011, Garcinia (HCA) meta-analysis). Green tea extract, outside Japan, differed by 0.04 kg, which was not significant (Cochrane, Green tea for weight loss (Jurgens)). These are group averages, not what any one person should expect.
Does raspberry ketone do anything in people?
The research is thin. Reliable human studies are lacking, most support comes from cells and rodents, and safety is not established (Rao 2021, Raspberry ketone review). The sales page says it brings an "accelerated reduction in body fat" (SodaSlim sales page), and we found no source that backs that as an outcome in people.
Is the green coffee bean research trustworthy?
Not much. A review of three trials found a large difference, but all three were at high risk of bias (Onakpoya 2011, Green coffee extract meta-analysis). The best-known 2012 trial was retracted in 2014 because the sponsors could not assure the validity of the data (Dove Press, Retraction of the Vinson 2012 green coffee trial). We do not count it as evidence.
What do the three claim lines on the label mean?
They are structure/function statements, each ending in an asterisk that points to the FDA statement. The FDA does not evaluate such claims before sale, and the maker has to hold substantiation (FDA, Structure/function claim notification). They are not disease claims, and they are not results. See claims versus evidence.
Safety and medicines04
Who should ask a doctor before taking SodaSlim?
Anyone on a regular medicine, anyone with a heart, liver, anxiety or sleep problem, and anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing should ask a clinician first. The label says the same in its own words.
Keep taking prescribed medicine exactly as directed. A supplement is not a medicine and never replaces one. The FDA has not evaluated the statements on the label.
- Chest pain, fainting, a racing heartbeat that will not settleCall 911. Caffeine overdose and seizures are emergencies; Poison Help is 1-800-222-1222.
- Yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, severe stomach painStop and see a doctor the same day. These are liver warning signs listed for green tea extract.
- A seizure or severe confusionCall 911. Seizures are reported with rapid intake of about 1,200 mg of caffeine.
- Weight loss promised no matter what you eatOne of the FTC's red flags: loss without diet or exercise, permanent loss, or blocking fat absorption.
- Jitters, poor sleep or anxiety that keep goingCut back caffeine from every source and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Signs from (Cleveland Clinic, Caffeine overdose) (MSK, Green tea (About Herbs)) (FTC, Seven red flags for bogus weight-loss claims). This list is not complete, and a supplement is never a reason to wait.
Who should not take SodaSlim at all?
The label says it is not for anyone under 18 or for pregnant or nursing mothers, and to consult a physician first if you take a medication or have a medical condition. With a heart rhythm problem, anxiety, a liver condition or trouble sleeping, ask a clinician before the first capsule (MedlinePlus, Caffeine).
Can I take SodaSlim with my regular medicines?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, and keep taking prescribed medicine exactly as directed. Caffeine can affect some medicines (Mayo Clinic, Caffeine: how much is too much), green tea extract has listed interactions (MSK, Green tea (About Herbs)), and garcinia may interact with drugs that affect the liver or serotonin (NCCIH, Garcinia cambogia). For MAOIs, diabetes and blood pressure medicine, ask a pharmacist.
Can I take SodaSlim with thyroid medicine?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. MedlinePlus tells people on levothyroxine to report every supplement and herbal product, because doses may need adjusting (MedlinePlus, Levothyroxine). It does not single out caffeine, so we claim nothing more. Keep taking your thyroid medicine as prescribed.
What side effects can the caffeine cause?
Too much caffeine can cause a fast heartbeat, palpitations, higher blood pressure, trouble sleeping, anxiety, jitters, an upset stomach and headache (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Stopping suddenly can bring a headache and irritability for a couple of days (MedlinePlus, Caffeine). More on the side effects page.
Can I drink coffee while taking SodaSlim?
You can, but count it. One capsule is 138 mg, so the FDA's 400 mg guide leaves about 262 mg for everything else (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). That is roughly one 12 fl oz brewed coffee at the strong end, and less once the extras in the extracts are counted. See caffeine content.
Which signs mean I should stop and call a doctor?
Stop and get care for chest pain, fainting, a racing heartbeat that will not settle, yellow skin or eyes, dark urine or strong belly pain. Call 911 for chest pain, fainting or a seizure; Poison Help is 1-800-222-1222 (Cleveland Clinic, Caffeine overdose). Liver signs matter most with green tea extract (MSK, Green tea (About Herbs)).
Does SodaSlim contain a hidden drug?
Nothing we found says so, and no lab report is published that could prove it either way. The FDA warns that some weight-loss products carry hidden drugs and that its public list covers only a small share of them (FDA, Tainted weight loss products). The label here prints five ingredients and nothing else active.

How do you take SodaSlim day to day?
You take one SodaSlim capsule a day, as the label directs. The label sets no time, food or water rule.
The four steps below follow the label, with the caffeine count that the label leaves to you.
- 01
Check the seal and your medicines
On a new bottle, check that the safety seal is intact. Read the Supplement Facts. List any medicine you take for blood pressure, blood sugar, thyroid, mood or attention, and any other product with caffeine.
- 02
Count the caffeine you already have
One capsule lists 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous. The FDA's guide for most healthy adults is about 400 mg a day from every source. Add up your coffee, tea, soda and energy drinks first.
- 03
Take one capsule, once a day
That is the label's whole direction: take one (1) capsule daily. The label prints no time of day, no food rule and no water amount. The seller's copy prefers the morning. Do not take more than the label says.
- 04
Watch how you feel, and know when to stop
A bottle lasts 30 days. Note sleep, jitters and heartbeat. Stop and call your doctor for a racing heart, chest pain, yellow skin or eyes, or dark urine. Keep the meals, activity and medicines your clinician set.
What time of day should I take SodaSlim?
The label prints no time of day. The seller's copy prefers the morning, which also keeps the 138 mg of caffeine away from bedtime. Pick one time and keep it steady. If you notice poor sleep, skip other stimulants late in the day. See a morning routine.
Can I take more than one capsule?
No. The label says to take one (1) capsule daily and not to exceed the recommended dose. Two capsules would put 276 mg of caffeine from the capsules alone, 69% of the FDA's 400 mg guide, before any coffee (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much).
Should I take it with food or on an empty stomach?
The label prints no food or water rule. If a capsule upsets your stomach, treat that as a reason to ask a pharmacist, not to add more. Caffeine can cause an upset stomach and nausea in some people (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much).
What if I forget a capsule?
The label prints no missed-dose rule. The cautious reading is to skip it and take the next one at the usual time. Never double up, because the label says not to exceed the recommended dose. If you are unsure, ask a pharmacist.
How long does one bottle last, and how should I store it?
A bottle of 30 capsules lasts 30 days at one a day. Store it in a cool, dry place below 86 F (30 C), keep it out of reach of children, and do not use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing. Details are on the how to use page.

Who runs thesodaslim.us?
Thesodaslim, a USA authorized SodaSlim retailer, runs this site. It is not the manufacturer or the distributor named on the label, and it earns money when you buy through its order links. That is why label facts and evidence are kept apart. See about us.
Are there customer reviews on this site?
Not verified ones yet. The review cards are labelled slots, and we print no star score, count or quote until each review is matched to a real order. The FTC bans fake and undisclosed insider reviews (FTC, Final rule banning fake reviews). See the reviews page.
Has a doctor or TV personality endorsed SodaSlim?
None that we know of. We found no endorsement, and ads that use a famous name or a white coat prove nothing on their own. FTC guidance says an endorsement must reflect honest experience and paid ties must be disclosed (FTC, Endorsement Guides: what people are asking). See celebrity claims.
How do I report a page problem or a bad reaction?
For a typo or a page problem, write to [email protected], Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET; that inbox cannot see orders. For a bad reaction, tell your doctor, then report it to the FDA at 800-FDA-1088 and to the maker (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements: What You Need to Know).
