SodaSlim Editorial Standards: How We Handle Claims, Sources and Corrections
The SodaSlim editorial standards are the rules behind every page here: the label wins, claims are worded as what the label says or what reviews studied, the sums are shown, and sources are numbered. Prices and reviews appear only once confirmed. A retailer writes this site and earns from order links, so the rules are public.

The rules01
What are the editorial standards for the SodaSlim pages?
The SodaSlim editorial standards are six rules that every page follows. The label desk writes to them, and a reader can check each one.
The site belongs to a retailer, and it earns money from order links. A seller's page can lean toward the sale. These rules exist to stop that lean.
- The bottle's label wins over every other document, including the sales page.
- Every health statement carries a numbered source, listed in a box at the foot of the page.
- Claims are worded as "the label says" or "reviews studied", never as results.
- Sums are shown, so a reader can redo them.
- Prices, reviews and ratings are printed only after they are confirmed.
- When the answer is not known, the page says so.

Sources02
Which sources do the SodaSlim pages rely on, and in what order?
The pages rely first on the label, then on public health bodies, then on published reviews of single ingredients. The sales page ranks last, and it is used only to show what the seller says.
Each source has a number. A number in a sentence jumps to the sources box, which links out. That box is the only place a page links to another website, so a reader always knows where a claim came from.
| Rank | Source | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The bottle's label | Amounts, directions, cautions, distributor |
| 2 | FDA, NIH, FTC, Mayo Clinic, MedlinePlus, Cleveland Clinic | Caffeine limits, safety, rules for claims |
| 3 | Systematic reviews and meta-analyses | Average effects of single ingredients |
| 4 | The sales page | Quoted claims only, never evidence (SodaSlim sales page) |
A retracted study is not evidence. One green coffee trial was retracted in 2014, and we do not count it (Dove Press, Retraction of the Vinson 2012 green coffee trial).
Wording claims03
How do the SodaSlim pages word a health claim?
A health claim is worded as what the label says or what a review studied, and never as something the capsule does for you. No study tested SodaSlim, so a result cannot be promised.
The FTC says research on an ingredient does not automatically support a finished product, because dose and formula must match (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). The wording follows from that. The label's three claim lines are structure/function statements, and the FDA does not evaluate them before sale (FDA, Structure/function claim notification).
| Situation | We write | We never write |
|---|---|---|
| A label line | The label says one capsule daily | That a capsule works for you |
| A study result | Reviews found an average difference of about 1 kg or less | A promised amount or a timeline |
| A sales claim | The sales page says it; no source found supports it | The claim as our own statement |
| An unknown | The label does not print it | A guess that sounds sure |
We never say that a capsule melts fat, that a trial has shown it works or that a doctor backs it. We also keep body shaming out of the text. Weight is a health topic, not a verdict on a person.
Showing the sums04
How do the SodaSlim pages do their arithmetic?
The pages divide the label's own numbers by a stated reference and show both. Caffeine is 138 mg, which is 34.5% of the FDA's 400 mg a day guide (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much).
The same method gives the 21.0% and 19.8% shares of the 658 mg capsule. It gives about 58.5 mg of EGCG from the 45% on the label. The reference figures are limits or levels that sources report, not proven doses, and the bars say so.
A bar is drawn only where a verified figure exists. Garcinia and raspberry ketone have no verified daily study dose, so neither gets a bar.
Reviews, prices, endorsements05
How are reviews, prices and endorsements handled?
Reviews, prices and endorsements are printed only when they are verified, and the pages show empty slots until then. This is stricter than most sales sites.
Reviews
No rating, count or quote appears until a review is matched to a real order. The FTC bans fake and undisclosed insider reviews (FTC, Final rule banning fake reviews). See the reviews page.
Prices
The checkout shows the live price. We print none, because the sales page totals did not agree when we read them.
Endorsements
We know of none from a doctor or a celebrity, and we say so. The FTC expects honest endorsements and clear disclosure of paid ties (FTC, Endorsement Guides: what people are asking).
The medical reviewer is not named yet, and no page claims a doctor reviewed it. More in about us.
Updates and corrections06
How are the SodaSlim pages updated and corrected?
The pages carry a last-updated date, and a correction changes the page and the date together. The current date is October 27, 2026.
A report of an error goes to [email protected], Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET. We check it against the label first, then against the source. A wrong number on the label gets fixed before anything else.
Order questions go elsewhere. The website inbox cannot see orders, so call +1 (302) 200-3480 or write to [email protected]. Health worries go to your doctor or pharmacist, and a bad reaction can be reported to the FDA (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements: What You Need to Know).
FAQ07
SodaSlim questions people ask
Who writes the SodaSlim pages?
The SodaSlim label desk of Thesodaslim writes every page. It is a team byline, not a named doctor. A medical reviewer slot is printed on each page and stays empty until a named clinician signs off with a date.
Is this website independent of the seller?
No. It is the information site of Thesodaslim, a USA authorized SodaSlim retailer, and it earns money from order links. That is the reason the rules are written down and the weak spots of the product are listed.
Why do pages keep saying no study tested SodaSlim?
Because it is true, and it matters. Research on caffeine, green tea or garcinia does not automatically carry over to a finished product at other doses and in combination (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). A reader should know that before judging any claim.
How do you choose which studies to cite?
We prefer public health bodies and systematic reviews over single trials, and we skip retracted work. Each source is read for the exact figure we quote. Where a source was only read in summary, we hedge the wording.
Do you copy wording from other websites?
No. Each sentence is written for this product from the label and the linked sources. We name no competing product, and we quote the sales page only inside quotation marks, to compare it with evidence.
What happens when the label or the checkout changes?
The page is checked against the new label or checkout, the facts are corrected and the update date moves. Until then, the live checkout wins on price and guarantee terms, and the bottle wins on amounts.
