What counts as a diet pill?

The asterisk leads to this line: "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease." That wording is the reason we call it a supplement throughout the site.
Do weight-loss pills work?
