SodaSlim vs Coffee, Green Tea and a Can of Soda, in Milligrams
SodaSlim vs a cup of coffee is a question of milligrams. One capsule holds 138 mg of caffeine. A 12 oz brewed coffee holds 113 to 247 mg, green tea about 37 mg and a can of soda 23 to 83 mg, by FDA figures. The capsule sits in the middle, and the extracts add a little more that is not printed.

How does SodaSlim compare with a cup of coffee?
One capsule holds 138 mg of caffeine, which is less than many strong cups of coffee and more than most cans of soda.
The FDA lists typical amounts per 12 fl oz (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Real cups vary with the bean, the brew and the size, so treat these as ranges.
| Item | Caffeine | Note |
|---|---|---|
| SodaSlim, 1 capsule | 138 mg | Label figure, plus a little unprinted |
| Brewed coffee | 113 to 247 mg | The capsule sits inside this range |
| Black tea | 71 mg | About half a capsule |
| Green tea | 37 mg | About a quarter of a capsule |
| Caffeinated soda | 23 to 83 mg | Below one capsule |
| Energy drink | 41 to 246 mg | Wide range; check the can |
Is the caffeine in a capsule different from a drink?
The molecule is the same. What differs is the pace, the context and what rides along with it.
A cup is sipped and a capsule is swallowed in one go. A capsule also comes with four other lines. Green tea and green coffee extracts carry some caffeine of their own, and the label says how much only for the green tea standardization, under 3.9 mg. The green coffee amount is not printed.
So the honest total is 138 mg plus a little more. That is 34.5% of the 400 mg a day the FDA gives for most healthy adults, before your first cup (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Pure caffeine powder is a separate danger, and the FDA warns against it (FDA, Warning about pure and highly concentrated caffeine). A labeled capsule is not that.
How do I fit one capsule into my daily caffeine?
Count what you already have, then decide whether a capsule fits. The four steps below follow the label.
- 01
Check the seal and your medicines
On a new bottle, check that the safety seal is intact. Read the Supplement Facts. List any medicine you take for blood pressure, blood sugar, thyroid, mood or attention, and any other product with caffeine.
- 02
Count the caffeine you already have
One capsule lists 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous. The FDA's guide for most healthy adults is about 400 mg a day from every source. Add up your coffee, tea, soda and energy drinks first.
- 03
Take one capsule, once a day
That is the label's whole direction: take one (1) capsule daily. The label prints no time of day, no food rule and no water amount. The seller's copy prefers the morning. Do not take more than the label says.
- 04
Watch how you feel, and know when to stop
A bottle lasts 30 days. Note sleep, jitters and heartbeat. Stop and call your doctor for a racing heart, chest pain, yellow skin or eyes, or dark urine. Keep the meals, activity and medicines your clinician set.
Pregnancy, heart rhythm problems, anxiety and some medicines call for advice before extra caffeine. Keep taking prescribed medicine, and ask a doctor or pharmacist.

FAQ01
SodaSlim questions people ask
Is SodaSlim stronger than an energy drink?
Not by caffeine alone. Energy drinks run from 41 to 246 mg per 12 fl oz, and a capsule holds 138 mg (FDA, Spilling the beans: how much caffeine is too much). Check the can, since labels vary. SodaSlim also adds four plant lines.
Does one SodaSlim capsule equal a cup of green tea?
No. Green tea has about 37 mg per 12 fl oz, so a capsule holds roughly four times as much caffeine. A cup of brewed tea is also not linked to the liver concerns that extracts have.
Can I drink a soda after a SodaSlim capsule?
You can, but count it. A caffeinated soda adds 23 to 83 mg, so the day moves toward the 400 mg guide. Watch sleep and heartbeat, and stop extra caffeine if you feel jittery.
